I have felt it,
As you may have too,
A brand new shirt
Takes hold of you.
A trendy item,
White,striped blue,
A brand new shirt
Takes hold of you.
With rolled up sleeves,
Tucked into belt,
How vain an art
To make hearts melt.
An art indeed,
As some might say,
The vain make poems
Of their vain ways.
I have worn
This artful shirt,
I wear it now
As i write this verse.
And i feel bound
By its embrace
For fear it might
Come out of place.
"How vain a man,"
You must think of me
"Who treasures so
What others see."
But i,fair friend,
I am not vain.
No more than
Many men the same.
You see this verse
Is a metaphor.
It's not about
A shirt at all.
Well it is
But only in part,
The shirt itself
Is just a spark.
The shirt i wear
Only wrote line one.
And made an idea
come into form.
What is this idea?
Well that's up to you,
A brand new shirt
Takes hold of you.
